Lighting & appliance control

Our home automation solution can save more than 60% wiring costs. This is because un-like the other systems our systems can be conveniently located within the automation space (room) itself. Our system electronics can be fitted into the room wall itself in a 12 module wall box. A conventional home automation system requires the appliance control wires to be run to a server room, thus wires need to be drawn from the automation space to the distribution point or the server space.

Our systems are based on master slave architecture or distributed architecture. A single master or a slave supports up to 8 devices, apart from the master, 4 other slave cards can be employed to interface 40 appliances. Each card has a dip switch selectable address, this address specifies, the level (floor), room, and card sub address. Multiple rooms are networked using a CAT5 cable employing RS422/RS485. Two types of slave cards are available, relay card & dimmer card. The relay card is normally employed for loads like tubes, CFI's, LED's etc. The dimmer card is employed for loads like resistive or inductive, these can be Halogen lamps, dim able CFI's, incandescent lamps etc.

We offer automatic light control (ALC), sensor based lighting. The sensors can be occupancy, ambient light or a combination. Usually we recommend ALC's for common spaces like lobbies, toilets, walk-in closets etc. The ALC can control up to 4 devices, it has an on-board configuration selection dip switch, this may be employed to program the lamp or appliance energization time.

Light emitting diode LED is a solid state semiconductor device capable of producing intense light. LED lighting is highly efficient & physically the devices last very very long, typically they can last more than 50000 hours of operation. A common mistake that most people make is in choosing the LED manufacturer. Best brands that guarantee higher lumens & extremely long life are...

  CREE

  OSRAM

  Phillips

  Avago

  Seol Optics

LED's produce clean & safe light free from harm full radiation. Other alternate option is the CFL & tube lights. However it must be realized that these produce harmful radiations. Also the underlying  principle in producing the light in these devices is based on a phosphor which when illuminated by UV light produces the actual light that we see.

Another nice feature of LED's is that they are available in multi-color, they are dim able unlike the CFL's & tubes, and produce relatively less heat compared to the incandescent or halogen lamps.
