Peristaltic pumps are employed in a number of applications due to their contamination free pumping, positive displacement, no priming & metered dispensing.

Peristaltic Pumps handle a wide range of fluids from hot water to molasses. Tubing with FDA approval is required in food industry. Preservative addition, dosing yeast, vinegar, starch,  brine, sugar solution, biscuit manufacturing, cereals industry, chocolate industry, can cleaning, metering additives, sodium hydroxide metering, fruit pulp transfer, emulsifier addition to chocolate, adhesive seals to jars, fruit juice addition etc.

Food Industry

In applications where precise addition of chemicals at some regular intervals in fixed amounts is needed peristaltic pumps can be used very effectively. The advantage of peristaltic pumps is that the complete system can be automated. Hazardous chemicals and inflammable chemicals that cannot be handled by the conventional pumps can also be handled. Above all precision and repeatability are all ways maintained.

Chemical Industry

Film processing involves addition of a host of chemicals at pre programmed intervals in accurate amounts. The chemicals need to be in the purest form to give best results. By employing conventional pumps there is every likely hood of contamination from the pump parts due to leaching effects. Peristaltic pumps being contamination free are best suitable. Also they can be easily integrated into the existing plant simplifying the automation process.

Film processing & printing

In the manufacturing process of I.V fluids and drugs many chemicals are used to arrive at a formulation. The inputs going into the manufacturing process are of the highest purity. Dosing and metering pumps are extensively used. However to run them under aseptic conditions it is quite cumbersome. Peristaltic pumps can operate under aseptic conditions without any trouble. Moreover they can perform all the functions of dosing and metering pumps.

Pharmaceutical Industry

Blood & blood plasma products when need to be pumped conventional techniques such as centrifugal pumps cannot be used as these fluids are shear sensitive. Also when sterility is the criteria then again peristaltic pumps come into picture. The pump chamber namely the tube can be sterilized repeatedly. Bio grade tube, also compatible with human body can be used in DIALYSIS equipment.
